*30 guaranteed lessons If you joined In September. Lessons will be prorated depending on when you join
The studio is open for 34 weeks your tuition includes 30 guaranteed lessons. This
means you have 4 BONUS FLEX weeks to use however you’d like! Make up a missed
lesson, come get a bonus lesson, or take the week off to chill! No more stress and
hassle about having to reschedule lessons. We got you covered!
If you or your teacher are sick, are going on vacation, or just need a mental health day,
we got you covered. No need to reschedule; just make it up during the next flex week.
However, our teachers are freelance artists and have multiple schedules to maintain. We
require at least 24 hours notice so our teachers can adjust their schedules accordingly. If
you cancel within the 24 hour window (unless it's an emergency of course), you miss the
benefit of that lesson and cannot make it up during flex weeks.
We value your time by showing up 100% for you. We expect the same from you! If you’re
running late, please notify your teacher ASAP. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your
teacher reserves the right to leave. If student is a no show, unless it was an emergency
that didn’t allow them to contact us, they lose the benefit of that lesson and cannot make
it up during Flex weeks.
Once you’ve set your lesson time for the year, it must remain the same until the end of
season. If you have an extended conflict, please see “Pausing Academy Membership" or
you may choose to unenroll and return later. However, we understand, especially at the
beginning of year, schedules are not always settled. So choose the time you think is best
and we'll lock it in after the first month. And as always, we will work with you if something
comes up so just let us know and we can discuss options!
If something comes up that requires you to take a few weeks break, you can pause your
membership and we will hold your spot for you. There will be no refunds and we will treat
your missed lessons as approved “cancellations.” You’ll have the option to make them up
during your flex weeks. If it will be longer than a few weeks I suggest leaving the studio
and re-enrolling if/when you’re free again. (See “Cancelling Academy Membership)
If at any point you want to cancel your membership, we will of course be very sad, but
understanding. We also require at least 30 days written notice. There will be no refunds
for any prior services or services within that 30 days. If you decide to come back, yay!
However, we cannot guarantee your same time slot or a spot at all. This will depend on
enrollment numbers and availability in your teacher’s schedule. You must also pay the
Membership Enrollment fee of $50 again.
The impact of the new coronavirus disease, COVID-19, is being felt around the world. We
believe we are better when we work together. It’s important for us all to take the
necessary steps to keep ourselves, our loved ones, and our local and global communities
safe and supported. So we will conduct all lessons online indefinitely, until we feel It's safe
to continue In person.
A computer with the Zoom desktop app downloaded. (the website would also work
but having the app downloaded is best)
Set your computer up In a quiet room and at a height so we can see you and your
torso in the screen.
If playing piano, set the computer up from the side so we can see you, your hands,
and the piano keys.
A secondary device (preferably a tablet or second computer) to read music and
materials on.

At MTC Music Academy:We believe in treating all humans fairly and respectfully,

stop, zero tolerance policy about this behavior in our studio. In fact, we expect our
students to use their privilege of any kind to lift up and amplify marginalized

We believe in open and honest communication. You are always encouraged to
advocate for what you need.
Confidentiality is important to us. We will never share your personal information,
stories, pictures, without explicit consent. We ask that you show us the same
respect and not share music, warmup recordings, recordings of our lessons, or
any other MTC materials with anyone outside of the Academy.

Not an obligation but a great opportunity to show off your hard work AND practicing
singing in front of an audience! It only gets easier the more you do it!
As an Academy Member you will have recital fees waived, free professional photos
and videos of your performance, and an option of discounted arrangements from
one of New York's best Arrangers, Assaf Gleizner.
Here is another chance to perform or try out new material In a loving and supportive
environment!

Tegan is available via email, text, or phone M-F 9am-6pm. After 6pm I will return your
message the next day!
Weekends I am available intermittently. I will respond if able, or at least by Monday.
Your teacher will share with you the best way to contact them and when they are
available!
If needing to contact your teacher about missing your lesson, please text as that is
usually the quickest way for them to see!
